Ten YA Quotes That Give Me Too Many Feels

I’m a total sucker for romance in the books I read. I get such a kick out of shipping characters together to the point of being strangely obsessive protective. On the other hand, I’m a notorious flopper. I’ll jump to the other boat the second I think a character isn’t digging the ship I sailed for him/her anymore. (Yeah, I’m a fickle creature like that.)

This Week’s Prompt: Top Ten Quotes I Loved From Books I Read In The Past Year Or So

Since I was already looking for quotes that I LOVED, I thought it would be fun to highlight the quotes that made me FALL IN LOVE either with a particular character, ahem (Jem Carstairs anybody?) or just made me feel all warm and fuzzy in general.

“I have been made to protect you. Only in death will I be kept from this oath.”
~Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo

Six of Crows Quote Mathias“Whatever you are physically, male or female, strong or weak, ill or healthy-all those things matter less than what your heart contains. If you have the soul of a warrior, you are a warrior.”
~Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare

“I love you enough to hope that you will not care that I am being selfish in trying to make the rest of my life-whatever length-happy, by spending it with you.”
~Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

“And now I need you to do for me what I cannot do for myself. For you to be my eyes when I do not have them. For you to be my hands when I cannot use my own. For you to be my heart when mine is done beating.”
~Clockwork Princess by Cassandra Clare

“In her eyes, I see my heart. In her breath, I hear my soul. She is my land. She is my kin. My love.”
~Red Rising by Pierce Brown

Red Rising Quote“I want to be the friend you fall hopelessly in love with. The one you take into your arms and into your bed and into the private world you keep trapped in your head. The one who will memorize the things you say as well as the shape of your lips when you say them. I want to know every curve, every freckle, every shiver of your body.”
~Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi

“Hate cannot be fought with hate. Evil cannot be conquered by darkness. Only love has the power to conquer them both.”
~Dark Triumph by Robin LaFevers

“He is beauty, inside and out. He is the silver lining in a world of darkness. He is my light.”
~Prodigy by Marie Lu

Prodigy Quote“I would have written you, myself, if I could put down in words everything I want to say to you. A sea of ink would not be enough.”
~Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

“Whenever you are ready, or if you never are, my heart is yours….”
~Grave Mercy by Robin La Fevers

If it wasn’t abundantly clear to you before, I’m certain it has become clear now, Cassandra Clare is basically the Queen of love, bromance and all things amazing. Go read The Infernal Devices now! Team Jem and Team Will forever.

And now a huge sigh because I’m in a warm and fuzzy mood thanks to all those quotes about love! I want to go back and re-read all these books and fall in love all over again!!

Let’s Talk
Are you a hopeless little romantic like me and need that hint of romance in a book to keep your interest? What are some of your favorite quotes about love, bookish or otherwise?!?!

    1. I LOVE RED RISING! I just finished it on Friday of last week and my mind is still reeling from aftershock. I love it. I want more. But my heart simply cannot handle more from Pierce right now. I’m in the biggest book hangover I’ve ever experienced bc of Red Rising! ^.^

      1. I believe you! I re-read Red Rising couple of weeks ago and it was spectacular even second time around. Sequel is even better, even more intense, I was beside myself when I finished Golden Son and realized that I had to wait whole year for final instalment. So it is probably wise decision to wait until you start book #2 🙂

    1. I already know that my ship sinks for the Grisha trilogy. Damn stinking tumblr, I’m never going on it again…..*goes on it and another book series is spoiled, tries to forget and pretend nothing happened but alas ’tis fruitless* And I’m pretty sure my ship sinks in the Shatter Me series. I think that’s when I decided to be a jumper.
