Books I’m Waiting On // March 8th Release Day

Today, March 8th, is release day for some super awesome titles in both SciFi/Fantasy and Contemporary that I’m really excited for. Basically what this means is that I can finally put hold requests for them at my library. Am I doing a happy dance right now? Yes, yes I am. *Deflates slightly when crashes into current TBR and is reminded of it’s monstrous size. Re-inflates to the size of a hot air balloon at the prospect of such a challenge, because devouring books is endgame and no, there is no such thing as too many books.*

Anticipated Books and New Releases

So, I know some of these titles are super hyped up, but since I don’t really pay attention to hype (as in I don’t hear it because of the very comfy rock I live under) and I typically go into books blind after reading the blurb months in advanced anyway, it turns out that for some of these books I’ve already forgotten what they are supposed to be about. So essentially, I’m trusting my past self’s judgement, my tendency to be a click-happy fiend whilst perusing Goodreads, and of course their glorious or not so glorious covers (because, yes, I am totally an unabashed cover snob #sorrynotsorry).

Here’s a look at the titles that are being released today that I’m totally, crazily amped up for and want right now despite the fact that I just returned from the library with a delicious haul of some other amazing books that I had been drooling over for ages.

SO MANY GOOD BOOKS!! *fans self* Like can we just take a break from life, hole away for a week, or two, or three and binge read until we can’t see straight anymore? Like can that be a thing? Someone needs to invent a reading retreat like NOW.

Let’s Talk

Things have been warming up here in Georgia *leaps for joy*. FINALLY, I was tired of freezing to death and interchangeably being caught in torrential downpours where hydroplaning was code for recreational fun. The warmer weather means that I’ve been seen dragging a blanky out on any grassy knoll that I can find, bringing my book along and getting in some reading time while managing to avoid getting steamrolled by the kids and encouraging them to do said steamrolling to each other instead >.<

While on that note, what’s the weather looking like where you’re at? Is the sun coming out? How does the weather play into your reading time? Do you like to go outside to read? Oh, and sort of random, but what are your favorite spring snacks to bring along on a picnic, because snacks are important, and I need ideas people, two hungry munchkins are eating me out of house and home, remember?!?

Oh, and what books are you looking forward to this week? Or what are you currently reading?

*This post contains affiliate links. Basically, all that means is if you happen to be an adorable penguin, or erm human, and purchase something then I’ll get a small kickback. So thanks in advance for supporting me and the blog! Much love ^.^

    1. I’ve heard some aaaammaazing things about Rebel of the Sands too!!! I’m suuuper exited that today is the official release day! I really am amped to read about a sassy sharpshooter! ^.^

  1. The weather in the south of France is weird. It’s colder now than in January…
And I just got my Lady Midnight copy which was one of my most anticipated releases for 2016.

    1. It’s been weird weather here in Georgia too, it got colder here for a while then warmed up. All the fluctuations have been killer for my chronic headaches.

Lady Midnight!!! I’m dying to dive back into the Shadowhunter world! I love it so much. ^.^

      1. It’s the fluctuations and the changes in air pressure, basically I’m a human barometer, lol. And thanks, I’m sure as the summer months come nearer the headaches will even out, that’s my hope! 🙂

  2. AHHH. Thank you so much for taking the time to put this together – having all the releases of the week in one spot is so helpful. 🙂 And I am so excited for Rebel of the Sands – I’ve been hearing some great things about it. Thanks for sharing and, as always, fabulous post! ❤

    1. I’m looking forward to Rebel too!! I need to go to the library ASAP and talk to them about getting me a copy! And your welcome for the round up! It was one of those things were I had been doing research for my own TBR (because I’m a total need, lol) and I was like “I wonder if anyone else would like this. I guess we’ll see.” I wasn’t sure if I should keep doing it or not but maybe I should since you liked it ^.^
